STUDIO EDIITT is a Palos Verdes–based full-service residential interior design studio serving Los Angeles and the South Bay, including Manhattan Beach, Hermosa Beach, and Redondo Beach. Founded by Catherine X. Nelson and Konni Tanaka, the studio brings together more than 40 years of combined experience across luxury residential design, hospitality, real estate development, finance, and construction coordination.
We believe a home should reflect the people who live in it. Our work begins with listening to your daily routines, your priorities, the things you cherish, and how you want to feel at home. From the earliest consideration of layout and flow through the final placement of furnishings and art, those conversations guide the design.

At the heart of STUDIO EDIITT is an idea contained within our name: the discipline of thoughtful editing.
To edit is to look with intention: to understand what belongs, refine what matters, quiet what distracts, and allow each element to strengthen the whole. It is knowing what should lead and what should recede, where restraint creates impact, and where an unexpected gesture gives a space its character.
We consider every home as one continuous composition. Space, light, materials, details, furnishings, and daily life are understood together. Our strength in space planning and interior detailing shapes how a home is experienced, from the first view upon entering to the way one room reveals another. A home can be richly layered, expressive, intimate, and surprising while still feeling balanced and beautifully composed, with room for personality, memory, and life.

To us, contemporary means interpreting any style for how people live today. Whether a home is traditional, transitional, modern, Mediterranean, ranch-style, eclectic, or layered with influences from different periods and cultures, we honor its character while giving it a fresh perspective.
